Introduction

The Naval Academy Primary School is dedicated to providing preschool and elementary school eduation in a nurturing environment at a reasonable cost for children of persons eligible for membership in the Association. Small structured classes, rarely exceeding 18 students per teacher, promote close interaction between teachers and children. Small classes also provide flexibility to adapt individual lessons to challenge each child at his/her ability level. Teachers work with the students in all areas of development.

The preschool program provides children ages 3 to 5 with a postitive school experience in a nurturing atmosphere. The formal academic curriculum begins in kindergarten. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade benefit from a well-rounded curriculum, including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, art, music, French (except for kindergarten), library, and computer skills. Before- and after-school care are available along with various after-school enrichment programs.
