CATEGORY ONE: Children, dependents and wards of the United States and allied uniformed service personnel assigned to duty at the U.S. Naval Academy; Naval Station Annapolis Area Complex and their tenant activities; civilian faculty and employees of the U.S. Naval Academy; and salaried employees of the Naval Academy Primary School.
CATEGORY TWO: Children, dependents and wards of other United States uniformed service personnel including active reserve and retired personnel. CATEGORY THREE: Children, dependents and wards of salaried employees of the Naval Academy Athletic Association, Naval Academy Alumni Association, and civilian Department of Defense personnel. CATEGORY FOUR: Children, dependents and wards of persons who once satisfied, but no longer satisfy, the membership requirements of Categories One through Three. CATEGORY FIVE: Children, dependents and wards of persons who do not satisfy the membership requirements of Categories One through Four. Applicants in Category Five must demonstrate on their application a connection to the Naval Academy, Department of Defense, other members of the NAPS Association in good standing or show other good cause for admission. Priority Within Admissions Eligibility Category The date of receipt of a complete application package, including application fee and documentation (for applicants in Eligibility Categories One through Four) will be used to determine priority within an Admissions Category.
Date Used to Determine Parent's Status The eligible parent's status as of February 1 in the calendar year in which enrollment is to be effected will be used to fix the appropriate Admissions Category.
Rollover of Applications to Subsequent Years Applicants may remain on the waiting list, provided:
1. They have not turned down an offer of admissions.
AND
2. They submit an updated application and documentation as to employment or military status if they fall within Categories One through Four. No additional fee is necessary.
